Gross score counts
Stroke Play/Medal
Net Score - Gross score minus Handicap
Stableford
You get points for each hole.
Your net score on each hole is dependant on your handicap. If a golfer with a handicap of 0 pars the hole, they will get two points. If a golfer with an 18 handicap pars the hole they will get three points as they get an extra stroke on each hole. A golfer of 36 handiap will get four points.
Your Handicap is distributed evenly amongst the holes. If your Handicp isn't 0, 18 or 36, the lower stroke (harder) holes get more of your handicap. E.g if your handicap is 19, you will get 1 stroke on all holes except for Stroke-Hole 1 where you will get two strokes. If your handicap is 35, you will get 2 strokes on all holes except for Stroke-Hole 18 where you will get one stroke.
Par
You either win holes or lose holes according to your score and handicap
To get your score, you add up all the wins and subtract all the losses. Halfs aren't counted.
